The indoor design of the hostel Pomor rooms is made in the style of pomor culture. Furniture there is made of the northern pine. There are also homespun floorcloths, patchwork quilts, woolen curtains, and pomor talismans – “Birds of Happiness” –all these things were brought here from the Russian North. There is also driftwood, the wood that was driven ashore by the sea.
The building itself was constructed and put into operation as a residence at the beginning of the 1960s. Major structural repairs were completed in 2014-2015.
